WHAT PRINCIPLES DOES PORT OF OPPORTUNITIES STAND FOR?

At Port of Opportunities our goal is to contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive and diverse job market. But what does that actually mean? The terms are quite abstract and not interpreted by everyone in the same way, but at Port of Opportunities we define them as follows.

Sustainable employment
Most of us know the concept of sustainability in relation to the environment. However, also in the labour market this term is starting to occur more! When we say we want every job to be a sustainable one, we mean that a job should keep you motivated and engaged; now and in the future. It must create a healthy environment in which you are able and willing to go to work.

Inclusivity
We strive to be an inclusive company. To us this means you feel valued and are as much part of the job finding process as we are. Additionally, we want to make sure that the company you end up at gives you a sense of belonging and a comfortable feeling.

Diversity
We think of a more diverse job market as a market where you are welcomed and included for your skills and ambitions. We do not stand for employee selection based on matters such as nationality and skin colour, as we believe, and know, those have nothing to do with an employee's competence.
