(Jr) Freight forwarder

YOU GET YOUR CARGO OR SHIPMENT FROM A TO B WITHOUT A PROBLEM.

As a freight forwarder you are, together with your colleagues, responsible for the preparation and organising of transportation. You are familiair with import and export (LCL/FCL) and seafreight is already quite familiair for you. 

The following tasks will be part of your job:

As you're already quite familiair with the job, you know that your days during a week don't look a like at all. Everyday brings out other challenges, as the transportation cyclus depends on several chains. During the day (or week) you will take care of the following tasks:
  • booking orders from clients;
  • being in contact with shipping companies and other carriers;
  • informing your clients about the process of the transportation;
  • preparing all necessary documents and filing all administration correctly;
  • invoicing your clients.

Do you have:

We are looking for somebody who is already familiair with seafreight, an internship also counts as experience! Also you will need to have: 
  • good communication skills in English;
  • knowledge of custom related documents;
  • a degree in logistics or marine related education. 
Furthermore, as a person you're capable of multitasking during the day and you recognize yourself in the following: 
  • stress resistant;
  • strong organizational skills;;
  • living in the Rotterdam area.

What to expect?

Once you have had a succesfull interview at the company you will start working fulltime (40 hours a week) according the following terms & conditions:

  • start between 08.00 and 10.00 and you will finish between 17.00 and 18.00, off course depending on how busy your day has been;
  • salary between €2000,-- and €2500,-- gross a month;
  • start with a temporary contract with the intention for an indefinite contract.
