Terminal employee

DO YOU PREFER A JOB IN A 24/7 ENVIRONMENT WHERE NO TWO DAYS ARE THE SAME?

There are different types of terminals in the Rotterdam port area, but mostly they exploit (tank) containers. These containers need to be taken off ships, barges, trains and trucks and brought to the right place. As a terminal employee you will be in the middle of this logistic chain. Do you like to arrange the activities on the quay or do you have the ambition to move up to the cranes? Let's find out what is possible.

The following tasks will be part of your job:

  • most of the times you start at the carrier or forklift truck;
  • you make sure the containers or other goods are transportated to the storing position;
  • you communicate with your colleagues all the time for efficiency and safety;
  • you check the containers or goods and register when they are damaged.

Do you have:

  • a passion for logistics;
  • experience in a similar postion;
  • a driver's license;
  • preferably certificates for driving big equipment.

Are you:

  • willing to work in shifts;
  • happy to work outdoors;
  • able to perform physical work;
  • living in the Rotterdam area.
