Electrical maintenance engineer (E&I)

ARE YOU THE HANDS-ON ELECTRICAL ENGINEER WE NEED?

This company specializes in producing polypropylene raw materials (granules). Polypropylene is used in many products such as automotive parts, textiles, food packaging, household products and other products that help make our daily lives easier.

The company consists of the departments Production, Maintenance and Engineering. The Maintenance department is responsible for the mechanical and E&I maintenance of the plant and machinery. Within the Engineering department, engineers work on the ideal way of maintaining our plant and machinery as well as executing projects.

 

As a Maintenance Engineer E/I you report to the Engineering Manager.

The following tasks will be part of your job:

Monitor safety and environment, including:

  • implementing safety and environmental policies;
  • develop and ensure plant integrity in the E/I area;
  • being responsible for compliance with the explosion safety document and EU directives as Safety Coordinator.

 

Ensure plant integrity and Preventive Maintenance E/I, including:

  • performing risk analysis as input for maintenance concepts;
  • drawing up concepts of upkeep for installations;
  • periodically evaluating the maintenance concepts based on performed repairs, failure history and risk analysis results;
  • initializing improvement proposals regarding the installation and used technology;
  • acting as Installation Responsible Management (IVB), which means you ensure the integrity of the electrical installation.

 

Involvement in projects, including:

  • providing recommendations for maintenance design concerning new or modified equipment;
  • monitor site standards used within projects being implemented;
  • act as project manager for monodisciplinary/ small projects.

Do you have:

  • a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or other relevant technical field;
  • at least 5 years of relevant work experience;
  • experience with optimization processes and work processes focused on maintenance and engineering;
  • command of the English language in word and writing (Dutch is a huge advantage).
