Chemical Analyst

ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH ANALYSING LIQUID CHEMICALS AND GASES?

As a Chemical Analyst, you will independently perform analyses on a very wide range of liquid chemicals, liquid oil products and gases. These include petrol, fuel oil, alcohols, aromatics, acids, customer-specific products and various industrial gases.

The following tasks will be part of your job:

You will use a very diverse and interesting set of analytical techniques (GC, ICP, HPLC, titrations, various instrumental and physical techniques). Furthermore, you deal with titrations and wet chemical analyses.
If we take a closer look at the analyses you perform, about 50% of them are routine. The other 50% consists of analyses on samples for the purpose of process control of the plant , on top of that, the sample supply is very variable.

Do you have:

  • background in (petro-)chemistry;
  • experience in a similar position;
  • good communication skills in English or Dutch, at least B1 level.

It is also important that you work accurately, responsibly and that you live in the Rotterdam area.

What to expect?

  • the possibility to develop yourself and become a specialist;
  • working in 2 shifts (06.00 - 14.00 & 14.00 - 22.00);
  • OR working in 5 shifts;
  • starting salary of €2300,-- gross a month, excl. shift bonus;
  • on good performance a contract for an indefinite period.
