Andreas is a young man from 34 years old who is building his career in the shipbrokers business. With over 5 years of experience he is searching for a new challenge to develop himself even further.

What is Andreas's story?
Andreas has been living together with his wife in Rotterdam for 10 months now. He really likes the Netherlands and thereby Rotterdam, especially the big port and shipping industry that comes with it. Andreas, a 34 year old Greece man, has achieved both a bachelor in Law and a master in Shipping Management. When studying the master in Athens he also did an internship at a very big company, his excitement for a career in the shipbroking industry grew enormously. After he graduated from this master he wanted to work in this niche sector, he found a job as shipbroker with Belnav Inc. While he has been working at the same company for over 4,5 years, he decided to move to the Netherlands for his wife. When arriving here he knew that there were a lot of jobs, because of the big port Rotterdam has. In January this year he found a job as shipbroker, but when starting he already knew it was only til May. So now is Andreas in search of a new challenge!


Who is Andreas?
Andreas is a very motivated man who wants to build his future within the shipping industry. He is determined to use his experience and knowledge to make an impact in his future job. Andreas want to keep learning and improving, therefore he is also open to new roles withing the shipping/logistic world: Cargo Planner, Shipping Agent and Expeditor. 

Andreas's areas of knowledge:
Chartering, negotionating with both charters as clients, prepare documents, maintain good records of everything that is being done, knows everything about the import and export documents.

What is Andreas looking for?

  • preferrably a company which has own ships, if not it's no problem;
  • a job where can travel to by public transport, if this a 'showstopper' we can look for other options;
  • a job with a lot of responsibilities and where he can use his extensive knowledge;
  • a nice environment within the company, this is something what makes him excell in his work.
