Meet Mohammed; an experienced maritime inspector looking for a new challenge in the Netherlands. 

Mohammed has been in the Netherlands since 2019, together with his wife and two sons (and another baby on the way). He is determined to learn how to speak Dutch fluently, and has been taking classes three times a week for three hours. His Dutch is coming along nicely, and he can definitely have a clear conversation in Dutch already.

Ensuring the safety on-board is what Mohammed has been doing for several years as Port State Control Officer. He conducted inspections on board according the IMO standard regulations and ensured the rights of the crew as per the MLC convention. Because of his communication skills and his calm demeanor people are inclined to take on on his advice. Furthermore, Mohammed can be described as following:
  • accurate;
  • teamplayer;
  • independent;
  • flexibel. 
He completed an education as Chief Mate (which was valued in the Netherlands to a completed MBO 4 education) and is very eager to continue learning. His ambition is to work as a (maritime) inspector and following extra courses or studies to achieve that goal is no problem for him.
