ARE YOU READY TO GIVE A FLYING START TO YOUR IT CAREER?

We are looking for starting IT professionals who want to develop into a true professional through a 1-year traineeship. Have you completed a relevant HBO education within the last 2 years, then read on!

What will you be doing?

Over the course of a year, you will work in a regular position within teams in the D&IT department, which consists of several teams with a total of 115 colleagues. During this period you will change teams after 6 months and your work will consist of projects, research and cooperating on the shop floor. You will learn on the job, build a network and get to know the playing field of the port of Rotterdam. You will work on current issues that have real impact and are related to, for example, safety, digitalization and sustainability. You do this within a challenging playing field with various (commercial) interests and (geo)political relationships.

The D&IT department is also ultimately responsible for realizing, managing and further developing (new) digital products, services, platforms and technologies. Within D&IT, four different departments have end-to-end responsibility:

  • Office of the CIO
  • Enabling Technology & Services
  • Business Platforms & Applications
  • Cyber Security, Risk & Compliance.

Who are we looking for?

Besides the fact that you have to be motivated and dedicated to the job, you will also have to meet the following qualifications:

  • You speak Dutch at B1 level or higher;
  • you have just finished your edudation (HBO) or at least in the last coupe of 2 years;
  • you can start on September 1st 2025;
  • you're available on May 28th for the selection day.
