Vasileios recently completed his MSc in Maritime Economics and Logistics, with a specialization in Port Management, from the Erasmus University. This comprehensive program equipped him with a deep understanding of the maritime sector, especially after already having obtained a bachelor degree in Greece.

What is Vasileios's story?
Vasileios is orginally from Greece and has a lot of motivation to develop himself in the shipping industry. He was very excited to tell us all about the shipping industry in Greece, as it is one of the biggest in the entire world. That is why there was completely no doubt when he had to choose an education: a bachelor in Maritime Studies. After finishing this study after 4 years in the summer of 2022, he wanted to learn even more. Vasileios knew that if he wanted to develop himself further he had to look for studies abroad. Therefore he compared studies in London and Rotterdam, while knowing from within that if he really wanted to learn more, he had to go to Rotterdam. A study in Maritime Economics & Logistics at the Erasmus University it was. In mid June 2023 he graduated. Vasileios already has some working experience, since he's completed both an internschip and a traineeship. So he's searching for a first real job to gain even more work experience.


Who is Vasileios?
Vasileios is a young man aged 23 years who lives in Rotterdam. As told before, he is very motivated to build his future within the shipping industry. Vasileios wants to use his knowledge to make an impact into the company where he will start. Vasileios speaks fluently Greek and English, and knows the basics of Spanish. He used these languages in sidejobs he's had over the years. Every moment he could work, he worked in the maritime industry. He knows 'how the things work', but Vasileios would love to use all of his skills in his future job!

What is Vasileios looking for?

  • a job where he has the chance to grow, learn and develop himself as a true expert;
  • a job where he gets enough responsibilities and where there are 'stacks' of work to do;
  • he is preferably searching for a job which is accessible by public transport, but if he has to buy a car it's no problem;
  • to work in a nice team of people, Vasileios is a real teamplayer.
